    If you plan on paying by check, please be sure your accounting department sends it to the following address as you will not receive Moodle access until payment is received:

    They may also request an updated W-9 for payment - please provide them with an updated copy using this link.

    Please register only one team per division per school.  If you are registering multiple teams/schools, you can choose to "ADD GUEST" at the end of each registration page until you have registered the amount of teams you choose. You MUST click on 'DONE' at the end of each page to move on to the next registration page.  

    Each team registered will automatically receive 5 Battle of the Books participant ribbons. 

    If you'd like to receive additional ribbons or add any pins, please indicate that in your registration.  

    If you are unable to pay online, you will be emailed an invoice that you can provide to your accounting department.  Please allow a few minutes to receive the email.

    WEMTA welcomes a wide range of content appropriate for an educational and professional audience. However, erotica or adult-themed content will not be accepted. WEMTA reserves the right to review and decline submissions that do not align with our audience or values.

    Please join us for the January 2026 edition of the Intellectual Freedom Forum, which will be held on Thursday, January 22nd at 4:30PM. Please join us for:

    Collection Development with IF in Mind: Overcoming Bias and Self-Censorship

    Please join the WEMTA intellectual freedom committee to discuss aspects of collection development that may be impacted by concerns around intellectual freedom, including the value of LGBTQ+ materials, why it is important to search for new books beyond the subject tags, and how self-published and AI generated books can raise unexpected concerns.

    The Intellectual Freedom Forum is free to all WEMTA members who register for the event.

    Welcome to the Exhibitor Registration for the
    2026 WEMTA Annual Conference!


    Exhibit Hours and Set Up Times: 

    Sunday, March 1st 2026 - set up 12:00pm to 4:00 pm
    Monday, March 2nd 2026 - set up 7:00am to 9:30 am
    Monday, March 2nd 2026 - booth hours 9:45 am to 5:00 pm


    Booth cost:
    $700 for new and returning vendors. Returning vendors will receive a complimentary WEMTA business membership, new vendors have the option to add on a WEMTA business membership for $75.


    Lists of all conference attendees will be emailed to only exhibitors who are WEMTA members.  All booth registrations come with up to 2 free plated lunches on Monday.  If you need additional lunches for your booth staff, they can be purchased for $19 each up to 2 weeks before the conference.

    Valley Expo: 
    Exhibitors will work directly with Valley Expo for any additional items they may need for their booth (i.e. electricity). Booths include an 8' table, 2 chairs and draping.

    Please note that your membership will be included in your conference fee this year (ie, there will be no need for separate invoicing - you automatically become a member by attending the conference.)

    Presenters:  You may register BUT DO NOT PAY (select Invoice Me) until you have been notified whether your proposal/s have been accepted as that affects the amount due.

    Bring an Administrator: Administrators are vital partners in our work. Invite your Administrator to the conference for $160. Administrators include: school board members, superintendents, district administrators, principals, or assistant principals. 1 administrator per conference registration from the same school or district. Click "Add Guest" after registering yourself. The "Add Guest" option may not be used for fellow librarians, teachers, or non-Administrators. If registration is accidentally entered for a non-Administrator as a guest, you will be billed for the full conference for the guest.

    Payments: Payment is required 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the conference. Payment can be made online (preferred) by credit card or physically mail a check (made out to WEMTA) to:

    New for 2026: WCTE Tuesday Afternoon Workshop

    WEMTA is thrilled to welcome the Wisconsin Council of Teachers of English (WCTE) to this year’s conference for a special Tuesday Afternoon Optional Workshop! Join us on Tuesday, March 3, at 1:30 p.m. for the WCTE Workshop with Dr. Troy Hicks, an engaging, hands-on session exploring the evolving role of artificial intelligence in writing instruction.

    Workshop Title: Teaching Writing with AI: Problems, Potentials, and Possible Futures

    In this interactive session, Dr. Hicks will guide participants through the opportunities and challenges AI presents in the writing process. Attendees will examine ethical and practical approaches to AI use in education, with time to explore tools and collaborate on classroom applications. Please bring a laptop or tablet for this “hands-on” and “minds-on” experience.

    This optional add-on can be included during your registration for an additional $50. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot early!

    WCTE Member Note: We understand some of you may have recently become members or renewed, so if that's the case, please be aware that WCTE will extend your membership by a year past your current renewal date.

    Cancellations/Refunds: Refunds for those who have pre-registered but are unable to attend shall only be processed if the request is received by the WEMTA Manager by Friday February 16, 2026. If you are unable to attend and have missed the cancellation deadline, you may send another individual in your place. 

    Special Requests: Please note special dietary requirements or other accommodations in your registration.

    We Want You: The WEMTA Conference is planned entirely by volunteers and we need many volunteers to make the conference a wonderful experience. Please check the box during registration if you are interested in volunteering. Special retiree/student pricing requires 3 volunteer hours at the conference.
